- "The wool has been pulled over your eyes" is a common idiom in English. It means you are being tricked or fooled. However, Morpheus says, "The world has been pulled over your eyes." Why does Morpheus make this change?
- Can you think of a time when you realized that something you had believed for a long time was actually false? What was it? How did you deal with it? (An example of something that you used to think was true but now you realize is not true.)
- Although the terms "red-pilled" and "blue-pilled" come from the Matrix, they have taken on larger meanings connected to political, social, and philosophical beliefs. What do you think "red-pilled" means? How about "blue-pilled"?
